A little preseason preview action

Jive's tournament schedule has been set! Starting with Hellfish in 2 weeks, and then a tournament every weekend for the couple of months. This will be most intense spring season Jive has ever participated in. I can't wait... playing outside yesterday just compounded that. This could be the best team jive has ever assembled and I really want to go as far as the best of our abilities can take us. This means playing to the best of our abilities at all times. With these early tournaments, it will really set the tone for us and show where we match up against some of the better teams in the region. Man, I just wanna play.

Some goals I have for our team:
-MAKE REGIONALS (along those lines put veins skying the piss out of some dude at nattys on the cover of UPA magazine haha)
-Play hard at all times. When Jive gets after it, we get after it. However sometimes we can be a little unfocused. I really hope we mentally stay in every game we play, regardless of if we're up 14-0 or down 14-3.
-Get the team talking. Active sidelines are unbelievably helpful while on the field. Id really like to help everyone on the team to a place where they can pick out a man and help him with strike calls and positioning.
-Not lose to Gettysburg, EVER

Some personal goals for the season:
-not get injured. BOOO sprained ankles and pulled hamstrings. Hooray stretching and Excedrin.
-Play better defense. Whether this means committing to really staying with my man or helping out on team D. I really want to try and never be out of position, or get caught flatfooted. If a guy is going to beat me upline, fine, he just will need to beat me.
-Get better in the air. I need to box out better. Growing 4 inches would help as well.
-Not be angry in a way it brings my team down. I get frustrated when people don't do what I know they can be doing, and can be angrily vocal about it. It happens, and this season I really don't want to put myself in a place where it brings the people around me down when I get like this. Its not my role to do that.
-Not as many dumb turnovers. I get tunnel vision deep sometimes, whoops. I can't help it that we have stud downfield cutters.

Whewww, so thats it. First real full blog post. Enjoy, hopefully this won't be a one time thing. Or maybe, hopefully it will.

watch david after dentist on youtube if you havent already seen it. HILARIOUS

Best of 7 Best of 7 update: 3-0

Another goal of yours should be: "Don't get point blocked by girls on RUF"
